Revelation 20 - The Millennium (notes)

The Millennium - Revelation 20

Angels

  • Played a big part in the unfolding plan of redemption that God had for man.
  • Also play a big part in the unfolding plan of God in the tribulation and after.

  2. He takes the devil and bound him for a thousand years in the abyss and shut it and sealed it.
  3. After the Millennium the devil is loosed for a short period of time.

Contains some major doctrinal events that confirm these events in other portions of the Word.

Each Group

Saved during the different dispensations of time has different roles to perform. The church is the bride of Christ and will enjoy the 1,000 year honeymoon upon the earth. (Rev. 20:4) They reign as rulers, kings, priests (I Peter 2:9 & Rev. 1:6). The 144,000 serve as bodyguards of the bride and the Lamb. (Rev. 14)

At That Time

The Millennial Temple is erected and the Gentiles serve. Under the reign of the antichrist there was little food and one had to take the mark of the beast to obtain food. The believers mentioned here had refused to take the mark had to suffer during that time, now with the Lord in their midst have changed. From this time on, the people of God from all dispensations enjoy the presence of God. Their days of suffering are over, tears wiped away and all memories of the past pain obliterated from their minds.
