A New Day (notes)

A New Day

What Ten Means

  • New Birth
  • Spiritual perfection
  • New opportunities

God & Numbers

In Judaism numbers have significance:

  • One means unity
  • Two division
  • Three perfection
  • Four creation
  • Five grace
  • Six man
  • Seven completion
  • Eight new beginning
  • Nine judgment

The Biblical Meaning of Ten Deals with completeness that happens in a Divine order or complete during the course of time. Nothing is left waiting.

The Ten of I Am’s of Jesus Christ in John:

  1. I am the Bread of Life (6:35)
  2. I am the Bread of Life which came down from heaven (6:41)
  3. I am the Living Bread (6:51)
  4. I am the Light of the world (8:12)
  5. I am One that bears witness of Myself (8:18)
  6. I am the Door of the sheep (10:7,9)
  7. I am the Good Shepherd (10:14)
  8. I am the Resurrection and the Life (14:6)
  9. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (11:25) and
  10. I am the True Vine (15:1,5).

Ten has some strong connotations; so as we leave 09 and enter a new year let’s look at 2010 with faith and expectation.

Nine means judgment so we can look at this passing year as a period of trial.

Ten will be a year of new beginnings; God perfecting what He started in us.

God Will

Do a new thing in the coming year.

Bring us to a new place in Him.

Do something powerful.

What To Concentrate On in 2010

Having a job is important but doing what we were destined to do is what we need to focus on this coming year.

Let find our place in the Kingdom of God.

Our Prayer Should Be:

Lord, “I don’t want to waste another year missing the mark of Your call.”

Lord, “I want to move into my destiny this year.”

Lord, “I want to do what You created me to do and this could be the year.”

If You Have Been Going in your own direction or doing your thing, this is a time of repentance, turn away from our own ways and run after Jesus in the coming year.

Acts 3:17-23

2010

Will be a time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, let’s turn away from anything that is hindering God from moving in our lives, our families, our church, our city and our nation.

Application

Jesus will return until God restores His church!

What can we do?

  1. Repent
  2. Turn to God
  3. Unite

People of God

Could this be the year that we see the Holy Spirit fall on us, on our city, on our nation and on the world?

Jesus - The Anointed One (notes)

Jesus - The Anointed One

Who Is Jesus?

The Book of Revelation unveils Jesus Christ.
Revelation means uncovering or disclosure.
Jesus is the Anointed One, the Messiah.

Jesus

  • Is the One who is among the lamp stands (churches). (Revelation 1:12)
  • Is the Head of the church, the Founder.
  • Is the Foundation of our faith.

Jesus Christ is dressed in a robe with a golden sash around His chest. He dresses us in robes of righteousness and the gold around His chest represents the purity of heart (motives). Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Characteristics of Jesus Christ:

  1. His head and hair were white like wool. This is the glory of God that is in Jesus.
  2. His eyes were like blazing fire--the penetrating eyes of the holiness of God.
  3. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace. This is represented of Jesus going to hell for us (His death) the bronze altar is where the body of the sacrificial animals were burned.

Jesus

  • His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. His word is so powerful that it is like a water fall.
  • He holds the seven stars in His right hand. These are pastors of the churches.
  • Out of His mouth goes a sharp sword. His Word is alive. (Heb. 4:12)
  • His face shines like the sun. His glory is like a shield.

I Am Alive And hold the keys of death and hell.

Jesus Is The Only Way man can get to God, there is no other way. Some are trying to convince the world that there are other ways to God but Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me.” John 14:6

Jesus Asked His followers who He was.

  • They said, some say, John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.
  • But what about you?
  • Peter responds. You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Jesus Said:

  • I have all power; I am the Almighty God with all the power to change this world, to change you, to change your city, your church, your nation.
  • I can change any situation; I can heal any sickness or any family problem.

Christmas

  • Talks about the birth of Jesus as the Savior of the world.
  • Is more than shepherds, the star in the east, the wise men, and the manger.
  • Is about the fulfillment of the prophecies in the Bible that talked about His coming to redeem us back to God.

Application

  • Jesus said to Peter
  • This was not revealed to you by man but by My Father in heaven.
  • I will build My church
  • The powers of hell will not stop it.

Matthew 16

I will give you Kingdom keys.
What ever you bind on earth is bound in heaven
Whatever you loose on earth is loosed in Heaven.

I John 1:5-7

God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

Truths of Revival - The Love of Jesus (notes)

Truths of Revival - The Love of Jesus

Who Is Jesus?

  • The Book of Revelation unveils Jesus Christ.
  • Revelation means uncovering or disclosure.
  • Jesus is the First and the Last, the Ever Living One.

God Sent His angel to reveal Jesus to John.

God sent angels to proclaim glory because Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

Jesus Christ

  • Is the greatest subject of Bible prophecy, not the last days, not the anti-Christ nor the false prophet, the four horsemen, the trumpet judgments, or the New Jerusalem, or the Great White Throne Judgment.
  • Is the main theme of the book of Revelation.
  • Is the reason the church exists.
  • Is the reason for the season of Christmas.

Whenever We Study Prophecy we need to look at Jesus Christ, not the end of the age or heaven or hell or angels but Jesus Christ.

During this season let’s look into Jesus.

The Last Book of the Bible Is a revelation of Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

I Am The Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Who is, and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.

Jesus made it very clear that He was (is) God in this last book of the Word of God.

Jesus Is The Only Way man can get to God, there is no other way. Some are trying to convince the world that there are other ways to God but Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me.” John 14:6

Jesus Said:

  • The time is near! What time?
  • The time for His return.
  • The time when all the predictions in the Word of God will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
  • The time for the judgments of God to display the power of God and the powerlessness of man.

Jesus Said:

  • I have all power; I am the Almighty God with all the power to change this world, to change you, to change your city, your church, your nation.
  • I can change any situation; I can heal any sickness or any family problem.

Christmas

  • Talks about the birth of Jesus as the Savior of the world.
  • Is more than shepherds, the star in the east, the wise men, the manger.
  • Is about the fulfillment of the prophecies in the Bible that talked about His coming to redeem us back to God.

Application

Jesus gave up heaven, His right as God to come to die for us. Phil. 2:5-8

This is what Jesus did for us.

Isaiah 53:3-11

  • Jesus suffered for mankind so we do not have to suffer the ravages of sin. He was made sin so we could be made the righteousness of God in Him.
  • He was made sick for us so we could walk in health and be healed.

Truths of Revival - Jesus Christ (notes)

Truths of Revival - Jesus Christ

Throughout Church History God reveals truth to the church in order to fulfill the purpose of God in that period of time.

The Church also looses truths and God has to remind us of what we have lost and has to restore revelation to the church.

The Church can not forget who Jesus Christ is.

  • A revelation of Jesus Christ was given to John on the Island of Patmos.
  • To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and has made us a kingdom and priests to serve God and the Father.
  • To Him be glory and power for ever and ever!
  • He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him.
  • And all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him.

A Revelation of Jesus Was Given to John

  • Even those who pierced Him.
  • And all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him.
  • Jesus says I am the Alpha and the Omega, Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty.

The Greatest Miracle

  • In the history of the earth is the birth of Jesus Christ.
  • The second greatest miracle is the new birth, when a man or woman comes to Jesus Christ.

What We Will Look at in the Coming Weeks:

  1. Some prophecies about Jesus.
  2. The angels who praised God at His birth.
  3. The events around the birth of our Lord.

Jesus’ Coming Is the greatest demonstration of the Love of God.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the World that He gave His only Son…”

I John 2

The atonement of Jesus Christ is the only atonement that removes all our sins.
If we do sin, we have one who will speak to the Father in our defense -- Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

What Is The Command of Jesus Christ?

To love God with all our being.
To love each other.

How Is Love Made Complete?

  1. We walk as Jesus did.
  2. We love Him.
  3. We love each other.

Application

God is Love
The very nature of God is Love.
We Are Family.
It pleases our Father when we love each other.

Isaiah 7:14

A great sign.
A virgin will be with child.
A son will be born.
His name will be called God with us.

Truths of Revival - Identity (notes)

Truths of Revival - Identity

What Is Our Identity?

  • First, Identity is who we are
  • The Word of God says who we are

Who Are We?

  • We are children of God
  • We are of the household of faith
  • We will reign with Jesus Christ throughout eternity in the house of God.

Galatians 6:20

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

John 14

  • Jesus talked about His father’s house.
  • That there are many rooms. (KJV Mansions)
  • He would go and prepare a place for us.
  • He promised that He would come back and take us to that wonderful place.
  • Thomas said, “we didn’t know where You were going.”
  • Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me!

John 1

  • Mentions that though the world was made through Jesus, the world didn’t recognize Him.
  • He came to His own but His own did not receive Him.
  • Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
  • Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

That Is Our Identity

  • We have a great destiny.
  • We are children of the Most High.
  • We will live in our Father’s house.
  • We will reign with Christ for ever.

Ephesians 2

  • Mentions our past--dead in our transgressions and sins, in which we lived when we followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the disobedient.
  • We at one time lived gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature, following its desires and thoughts.

Ephesians 2

  • We were by nature objects of wrath.
  • But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace that we have been saved.
  • God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2

  • In time we will see the incomparably riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
  • We are saved by grace, through faith, and this is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so no one will boast.
  • We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.

Ephesians 2

  • We were foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
  • But now we in Christ Jesus we have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
  • We are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.

I Peter 2:4

  • We are living stones (of God’s House of faith) being built into a spiritual house to be.
  • A holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
  • Verse 9 “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God.”
  • That you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
  • Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God--we have received mercy.

That Is Who We are!

We are a mighty conquering army called to defeat the enemy Satan and all his forces!

Truths of Revival - God’s Household (notes)

Truths of Revival - God’s Household

God Loves Your Family Just as we love those who are dear to us God loves the whole human family and He loves your family more than you could ever love them.

God has a family and to be a part of His family is the greatest privilege in the world.

When Someone comes to the Lord all the people in that person’s family becomes candidates for salvation and heaven.

Ephesians 2

Talks about how we are all part of God’s Household.

  1. Jesus destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.
  2. He repealed the law code.
  3. His purpose was to create in Himself a new man.
  4. In His body He reconciled, He created a new kind of human being.
  5. Christ brought us together through His death on the cross.
  6. The cross got us to embrace and that was the end of hostility.
  7. We are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s Household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus being the Chief Cornerstone, in Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.

What It Means

To be a part of God’s family!

  1. It is just like a human family but greater.
  2. We are connected to all believers in the world.
  3. We have a mighty support system.
  4. It means Almighty God is our Father.
  5. That there are mighty angels who give us protection, strength, and help in time of need.
  6. It means that how we live our lives affects believers everywhere.

Keys to enjoying the blessings of this great family

  1. Intimacy.
  2. Interaction.
  3. Intercession.
  4. Gratefulness.

Gratefulness Is one of the greatest traits of being part of the family.

History of Thanksgiving

Lev. 7:13

Ezra 3:11

Psalm 42:4, 69:30, 95:2, 100:4, 147:7

God’s House

We are all part of God’s Household and being thankful for this great gift is the way we demonstrate the work God has done in our hearts.

When We Get To Heaven

We will full of gratitude for all that God has done to make it possible for us to be a part of His household and we will live in His house forever!

Truths of Revival - God Love’s Families (notes)

Truths of Revival - God Love’s Families

God Loves Your Family

Just as we love those who are dear to us God loves the whole human family and He loves your family more than you could ever love them.

God Is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance.

When Someone comes to the Lord all the people in that person’s family become candidates for salvation and heaven.

Example of Paul & Silas

  • Acts 16:13-34
  • God used Paul & Silas to lead a city wide revival.
  • They are arrested by the local authorities, beaten, chained and thrown into jail.
  • At midnight instead of moaning and groaning they started a praise service.
  • God sends an earth quake.

Paul & Silas

  • The jailer is just about to kill himself when Paul told him not to harm himself.
  • They lead the jailer to Jesus.
  • Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved--you and your household.
  • He and his household are saved and baptized.
  • The jailer feeds them and was filled with joy because he came to believe, he and his whole family.

A Great Move of God

  • Started with a family being saved and ends with another family getting saved.
  • God loves families.
  • Paul said we are part of the household of faith, part of the family of God.
  • Believe God to save your family today--start believing it today and you will see them come to the Lord.
  • The family is God’s idea; He designed the structure of the family.

There is a Satanic onslaught against the family today

  • Example of same sex marriage.
  • Thank God 31 states have passed constitutional amendments protecting the traditional family. One man one woman is marriage, not one man and another man or a woman and another woman.
  • Example of the case in the state of Maine.

Example of Moses

Satan attacked the family right before Moses is born because he knew a great deliverance was coming for the people of God.

Example of Esther

Satan again attacked the family of God by trying to destroy the nation of Israel but God raised up a young woman who would save the nation and Esther comes into the kingdom for such a time as this to save the family of God again.

Example of Jesus

  • Again the Devil attacks the family by destroying all the Jewish babies when Jesus is born.
  • He was trying to stop the plan of God.
  • God always uses a family to fulfill his purpose on the earth.

God Told My Former Pastor This:

  • “Do you know… that if even one member of your family is living for God, each individual member (of your family) is highly favored?
  • That a great host of angels has been assigned to bring these highly favored people to God?
  • That they have orders to listen to no objections, but to hasten individuals to a point of choice?
  • That if a person chooses the wrong way, the angels will begin the cycle all over again?”

What Can We Do To experience the promise of God for the salvation of our families?

  • Believe.
  • In the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Be saved.
  • You and your house.

When We Get To Heaven

We will be amazed at all the families who will be there rejoicing in the Lord because someone in their family believed God, prayed and did all they could so their loved ones could come to the Lord and walk with Him!

Truths of Revival - God’s Priorities 2 (notes)

Truths of Revival - God’s Priorities 2

God Has Priorities

These are events, issues and subjects that are keys in the kingdom of heaven that affect us on the earth today and will guide us into our destiny.

The Church

In order to fulfill our purpose we must adhere to God’s Priorities.

The Blood of Jesus

  • Why is the Blood of Jesus so important to God?
  • The Word tells us that life is in the blood and without the shedding of blood there is no removal of sin. So in order to have a relationship with God we must have our sin removed. Only the Blood of Jesus can do this. This is why God said, there is no other way to be reconciled to Him. Jesus is the Way; His Blood is what clears the way for us.

Communion with God

Leaven is a type of sin and during the feast of unleavened bread they would eat unleavened bread, representing sin pardoned. Under the new covenant, leavened bread was used because God provided justification. Instead of SIN, FAULT AND FAILURE, God sees, through the covering He provided, HOLINESS, BLAMELESSNESS AND PERFECTION.

Those Who Choose rebellion and idolatry voluntarily move out from His covering. Those who choose obedience instead of rebellion voluntarily stay under His covering because they choose to love and serve God above self and the desire to sin.

Heb. 10:14-17

For by that one offering He made forever perfect in the sight of God all those whom He is making holy.”

“And the Holy Spirit testifies that this is so, for He said, ‘This is the agreement I will make with the people of Israel, though they broke their first agreement I will write my laws into their minds so that they will always know my will, and I will put my laws in their hearts so that they will want to obey them.’ And then He adds, ‘I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.’”

Jesus Is Alive

Not only is He alive, but it is already written down in God’s book that we who are His will follow after Him in great resurrection.

Believing in the resurrection of Jesus is what Justifies us. (Romans 10:9-10)

Our Prayer

Should be, come Holy Spirit, and He will come and fill us with the Glory of God.

The Glory of God transforms us from glory to glory. II Cor. 3:17

The Coming of The Holy Spirit

Take the grain, grind it into flour, and turn it into bread. Put some leaven in it because the church will never be without sin or evil. God has it covered, but on the inside of the covering where you live, sin often crops up.

He covers His church even though sin (leaven) is present.

Jesus Is The One

Who baptizes us in the Holy Spirit and it is a baptism in fire (glory and purification for power) in our ministry to the world!

Sound The Trumpet the Good News is Jesus defeated the Devil, stripped his army of their weapons, rose with the keys of hell and death and has made it possible for us to be in fellowship with God until the day we stand before Him.

People need to hear this today. It is our job to sound the trumpet of the Good News.

Atonement

When we are born again God’s Spirit gives us new life from heaven, our probation does not just expire, it is canceled.

God Desires us to be with Him forever

The return of Jesus for His church is the great hope of the child of God.

Truths of Revival - God’s Priorities (notes)

Truths of Revival - God’s Priorities

Throughout Church history God reveals truth to the church in order to fulfill the purpose of God in that period of time.

The Church Also looses truths and God has to remind us of what we have lost and has to restore revelation to the church.

Justified By Faith

God is Holy and demands holiness to enter His presence. How do we need to enter His presence? How are we justified?

  1. Justification by faith
  2. By believing in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Heb. 9:1-12
  3. By repenting of our sins Acts 3:19

What Is Important To God?

1. The blood of Jesus

2. Communion with God

3. The resurrection of Jesus

4. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit

5. Telling the world about Jesus Christ

6. The atonement of our sins

7. The return of Jesus Christ for us

These Seven Priorities Were given to my pastor in Idaho by God over a period of a couple of years.

The Feasts of Israel

All point to the seven priorities of God:

1. Passover

2. Unleavened Bread

3. First Fruits

4. Pentecost

5. Trumpets

6. Great Day of Atonement

7. Tabernacles

The Blood of Jesus

The feast of Passover was a type of the death of Christ. His sacrifice, and the blood of Jesus was written before God ever made the earth.

Communion with God

  • The Feast of Unleavened Bread was celebrated beginning the day following the Passover. Leaven is a type of sin, and at the feast they were to eat unleavened bread, representing sin pardoned.
  • Instead of SIN, FAULT AND FAILURE, God sees, through the covering he provided, HOLINESS, BLAMELESSNESS AND PERFECTION.

Those In Rebellion and Idolatry voluntarily move out from under His covering for sin. Those who choose obedience instead of rebellion voluntarily stay under his covering because they choose to love and serve God above self and above the desire to sin. (Heb. 10:14-17 Living Bible)

For by that one offering he made forever perfect in the sight of God those whom he is making holy.

Jesus is Alive

The angel of the Lord said this festival represents the resurrection of Jesus and His life. Not only is he alive, but it is already written down in God’s book that we who are his will follow after him in great resurrection. It is God’s big heart.

The Coming of the Holy Spirit is one of the most important aspect of God’s unfolding plan for the church.

Let’s Ask The Holy Spirit in this hour to be poured out on us, on this city, on this nation and the world.

Truths of Revival (notes)

Truths of Revival

Throughout Church History God reveals truth to the church in order to fulfill the purpose of God in that period of time.

The Church Also looses truths and God has to remind us of what we have lost and has to restore revelation to the church.

Past Revivals have given the church the following revelations:

  • Justification by faith.
  • Holiness.
  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
  • Healing & Evangelism.
  • Importance of the teaching of the Word.
  • Spiritual gifts to the church.
  • Spiritual renewal to the church.

Spokesmen

1. Martin Luther 1438-1546

2. John Wesley 1740s

3. William Seymour 1906-09

4. Aimee Semple McPherson 1920-40

5. Chuck Smith-John Wimber 1965-80

6. Dennis Bennett 1970-80

7. John Arnott John Kilpatrick 1994-96

What We Are To Do

  • We can not duplicate what God did at another time & place in a time of visitation.
  • We must wait on the Lord and expect God to visit us in His unique manner.

What Are Signs of True Revival

1. A renewed love for God in the church.

2. A repentant attitude in the people of God.

3. A great harvest of souls.

4. Miracles, signs and wonders.

5. Communities changed.

6. Churches are planted all over the world.

7. The needs of the poor and needy are met by the church in compassionate and practical strategies.

The Power of Revelation

1. Did the church get the revelation.

2. Did the church apply the revealed truths.

3. Did the church learn from the past move of God that they did not learn.

What Jesus Said About Truth

John 14 &16

1. Obedience is the key to receiving Truth.

2. The Holy Spirit is the author of Truth.

3. The world does not recognize the author of Truth.

4. We know the Author of Truth.

5. The Holy Spirit will teach us.

7. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all Truth.

8. He will tell you what is yet to come. We will not be in the dark about the next move of the Holy Spirit.

9. He will bring glory to Jesus by taking the revelations of Jesus and revealing it to us.

10. All that belongs to the Father is mine and will be revealed to us.

Application the key to keeping the truths Jesus gives us:

  • Stay teachable.
  • Stay flexible.
  • Stay at the feet of Jesus.

God Is Pouring Out Revelation By the Holy Spirit in this hour.

Let’s walk in the truth God is giving the church and learn from past revivals what God wants us to apply right now.

The Move of God - Strongmen & Strongholds (notes)

The Move of God - Strongmen & Strongholds

In Every Move of God great truths are restored to the church!

Matthew 12

  • Jesus drives out a demon.
  • Jesus is accused of driving out the demon by the power of evil.
  • Jesus teaching on Kingdom power.

The Strongman

  • Must be bound first.
  • Then we can spoil his goods.
  • Strongmen form strongholds.
  • Strongholds are in the thinking of people, cities, and nations.
  • We have the power to change the culture by demolishing strongholds.

Satan Was Defeated

  • By Jesus when He died and rose from the dead.
  • By the blood of Jesus Christ.
  • By the power of the Word of God.
  • By the power of the Holy Spirit.

Colossians 2:15

Paul Gives A Powerful Revelation in II Corinthians 10:3-6

  • Though we are in the world we do not wage war as the world does--it is not against flesh and blood.
  • The weapons we use are mighty in God to demolish strongholds, arguments, every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God.
  • We take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.
  • We punish every act of disobedience through our obedience.

In Ephesians 6

  • Paul mentions the four levels of evil forces we fight against.
  • Today let’s focus on the rulers of this dark world which in the Greek is Kosmokrator who encourage and inspire the philosophies and belief system that oppose the light of God’s Word.
  • This evil force has arguments and pretensions that set themselves up against the knowledge of God.
  • This happens in the thinking of the person, the community, state or nation.

The Move Of God - Our Time of Opportunity (notes)

The Move Of God - Our Time of Opportunity

God Gives individuals an opportunity to impact someone else, a church, a city or a nation.

The Question Is are we going to seize the moment and make a difference in this city or will we miss our time of visitation?

Ephesians 5:15-18

Be careful, then how, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

The Church

  • In the last days will be known for its wisdom.
  • In the last days will make the most of its opportunities.
  • In the last days will overcome evil.

Ephesians 6

  • Our strength comes from the Lord.
  • We are called to put on the full armor of God.
  • What the enemy looks like.
  • Our enemy are in the atmosphere.

Our Armor

  • Truth.
  • Righteousness.
  • The Gospel.
  • Faith.
  • Salvation.
  • The Word of God.
  • Prayer.

Sometimes

  • The word of the Lord is for an appointed time.
  • The key is to learn to wait on the Lord to fulfill His Word to us.

The World is pushing spiritualism (the study that the spirits of dead people can communicate with the living, especially through mediums) on us.

Jesus Christ

  • Disarmed the powers of evil when He rose from the dead.
Colossians 2:15

The weapons of the enemy are:

  1. Accusation.
  2. Condemnation.
  3. Fear.
  4. Anxiety.
  5. Discouragement.
  6. Torments.
  7. Oppression.

Application

We fight the attacks of the enemy with The Word of God.

2 Tim. 1:7, Phil.4:6-7,

2 Cor. 4:16, Matt. 4:24

Acts 7:34

Is it God’s Season for us?

They ask for God to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us, upon this city and upon America!

The Move Of God - Visitation (notes)

The Move Of God - Visitation

Visitation In Hebrew

Means to guard a flock, to preserve or protect like the Cherubim who guarded the Garden of Eden and the throne of God.

The Question Is

  • Will I recognize it when I experience a visitation from God as an individual and as a pastor or leader of an expression of the Body of Christ.
  • Will I be able to discern when a time of God’s presence comes?

Isaiah 60

  • Talks about a time of great glory coming for the people of God.
  • During a time of depression (darkness will cover the earth and dense darkness all people groups.
  • During this season of darkness, the brightness of the Lord will rest on the people of God.
  • Nations will come to our light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Kairos

  • When time and destiny meet.
  • In every revival time and destiny come together and change everything.
  • During a visitation of God time and destiny come together.

The Word of God

  • Talks about two simultaneous events happening in the last days.
  • Times of trouble.
  • Times of world wide revival.

In The New Testament

  • Visitation means to look after or coming. Jesus said you did not know the time of your visitation.
  • Jesus came to His own (the Jews) and they did not know who He was.

(John 1:10-13)

In Revival (I Peter 2:12)

The world sees the good the church does and glorifies God, even though they were bad mouthing us just before the visitation of God.

How To Know A Visitation

  1. Be aware of the presence of God.
  2. Never take God for granted.
  3. Be people of prayer.
  4. Know the power of the Holy Spirit.
  5. Not neglect our fellowship.
  6. Know the Word of God.
  7. Be willing to obey when God speaks.

The Signs of A Visitation of God

  1. A deep hunger for God.
  2. A sense of hopelessness in the world’s system.
  3. A passion for revival in the church.
  4. A shaking of the world’s system.
  5. A new hunger for God’s Word.
  6. A spirit of repentance in the church.

The Results of A Visitation of God

  1. Great miracles in the church.
  2. Great grace (favor) given to the people of God.
  3. Great harvest of people coming into the Kingdom of God.

Application

Intercession plays a big role in contributing to a visitation. (Ezekiel 22:30)

The authority we have in Christ plays a big role also in the process. (Matthew 16:18-20) (John 5:19)

Is it God’s Season for us?

They ask for God to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us, upon this city and upon America!

The Move Of God - God’s Time 2 (notes)

The Move Of God - God’s Time 2

God’s Time

  • Is always perfect.
  • Is never late.
  • Changes everything.

The Seasons of God

  • Are the key to making a difference in the world.
  • Are times of refreshing.
  • Will happen while the world experiences stress and turmoil.

Isaiah 60

  • Talks about a time of great glory coming for the people of God.
  • During a time of depression (darkness will cover the earth and dense darkness all people groups).
  • During this season of darkness, the brightness of the Lord will rest on the people of God.
  • Nations will come to our light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Kairos

  • When time and destiny meet.
  • In every revival time and destiny come together and change everything.
  • Over 100 years ago the Azusa Street revival broke out and today there are over 650 million born again spirit baptized believers in the world.

Time is Kairos which is a season or opportune time. A period of time in which crucial events take place, marked by distinct conditions.

This Age (time)

A critical or decisive point in time, a moment of great importance and significance. A point when something is ready or favorable. An opportunity, a favorable occasion. A certain period of time in which crucial events take place marked by distinct conditions.

Since Israel - (Luke 21:24)

Became a nation we have been living in the last moments of this age.

The times of the Gentiles is the church age.

Acts 1:7-8

  • Jesus said... “It is not for you to know the times (Kairos) or dates the Father has set by His own authority.”
  • But you will receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you and you will be witnesses unto Me.

Acts 3:1-4:4

  • How many times did Jesus pass by this man but did not heal him.
  • It was not his time.
  • It was not the time for Jerusalem.
  • 5,000 people believed because of this miracle.
  • One miracle when it is the Kairos, the season of God can change a city.

Jesus Died

  • At the right time (on Passover) which freed us from sin and provided salvation, healing and restoration.
  • Now as God’s children we get in on God’s plan for us and for the Jews and for the world.
  • At the right time Jesus will return and restore everything to its original purpose.

Application

  • When Jesus healed someone or taught a crowd it was at the right time.
  • This is how we should live our lives.

John 5:19

Is it God’s Season for us?

They ask for God to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us, upon this city and upon America!

The Move of God - God’s Time (notes)

The Move of God - God’s Time

God’s Time

  • Is always perfect.
  • Is never late.
  • Changes everything.

Acts 2:1-2

  • When the Day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Pentecost

  • Means 50.
  • Came 50 days after Jesus died on the cross (Passover).
  • Was the birthing of the church of Jesus Christ.
  • Will happen again!

Matthew 16:3

  • The Pharisees and Sadducees tested Jesus by asking him for a sign from heaven.
  • Sign in the Greek is a miracle with a spiritual end and purpose, a finger mark of God.

Time

  • Is Kairos which is a season or opportune time. A period of time in which crucial events take place, marked by distinct conditions.
  • Chronos is a succession of moments.

This Age (time)

  • Will come to an end at the rapture of the church.
  • After the greatest revival (awakening) in history will take place.

Since Israel
(Luke 21:24)

  • Became a nation we have been living in the last moments of this age.
  • Jesus will come soon.
  • So we must seize the moment and move with the Spirit of God to touch this generation.

Acts 1:7

  • Jesus said... “It is not for you to know the times (Kairos) or dates the Father has set by his own authority.”

Acts 17

  • God is the Creator.
  • God does not live in man made temples.
  • He does not need anything.
  • From Adam He make all nations.
  • He determined times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
  • God desires men to seek Him--reach out for Him and find Him.

Jesus Died

  • At the right time (on Passover) which freed us from sin and provided salvation, healing and restoration.
  • Now as God’s children we get in on God’s plan for us and for the Jews and for the world.
  • At the right time Jesus will return and restore everything to its original purpose.

Application

When Jesus healed someone or taught a crowd it was at the right time.

This is how we should live our lives.

John 5:19

Acts 13:4
Acts 16:6

Whatever we do, it should be because it was God’s time and the Holy Spirit directed us.

The Move of God - Revival Revelations (notes)

The Move of God - Revival Revelations

What We Need

In every move of God the Holy Spirit reveals truths to the church that characterize the type of movement it is known for.

1) Example of Azusa Street in 1906 was known for speaking in tongues and spiritual gifts.

2) Example of Jesus Movement was known for young people who rebelled against the establishment following Jesus and reaching other young people for Christ.

Question?

What will God reveal to the church in the present move of God?

What God Has Said to some is that this will be a movement of great miracles, great harvest, great teaching, great growth of churches and great influence by believers in the world.

God Says...

Everyone will be touched by God, visions, dreams and prophecy will be given to those touched by God.

Let’s Look At

Our inheritance again!

Ephesians 1:18 “I pray the eyes of your hearts may be enlightened...”

Paul Stressed:

  • Revelation is given to generate hope in the people of God.
  • The knowledge of our inheritance gives us assurance.
  • The knowledge of our inheritance is rich.
  • The knowledge of our inheritance is glorious.

What Is Our Inheritance?

  • Every spiritual blessing in Christ.
  • Salvation (in Christ).
  • Predestination.
  • Redemption.
  • Forgiveness of sins.
  • Wisdom.

Our Inheritance Is:

  • Understanding.
  • Knowing the mystery of His will.

Israel

  • Will never perish, spoil or fade. (I Peter 1:4)
  • It becomes more glorious as time passes. (II Cor. 3:18)

I Believe

The Glory of God will be seen again in the church before the rapture of the church as in the time of the dedication of the temple during the time of King Solomon.

(II Chronicles 7:1- 5)

America

Will see another great revival in the future.

The Move of God - Our Heritage, Our Inheritance (notes)

The Move of God - Our Heritage, Our Inheritance

A Worldwide Revival

  • Will sweep the land until the end of the age!

Heritage:

  • Is the status, conditions or character acquired by being born into a particular family or social class. It also means a country’s history, historical buildings, and sites that are considered to be of interest and value to present generations. It also means something such as a way of life or traditional culture that passes from generation to the next in a social group.

Inheritance:

  • Is money, property, or title that has been inherited or is to be inherited. It means hereditary ownership of wealth or a title.

What Is Our Heritage?

  • When we are born of the Spirit we become a part of the family of God, a part of a social group unlike another in history or alive today.

What Is Our Inheritance?

  • Jesus is the King of Kings, the ruler of the universe and as His children we inherit everything He owns.

John 1

  • Tells us that Jesus is God.
  • Jesus was with God in eternity pass.
  • Through Jesus all things were made.
  • In Him is the life and the life is the light (revelation, our heritage & inheritance) of men.

Jesus

  • Was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own (the Jews) but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, those who believe in His name, He gave the power to become children of God.

The Holy Spirit

  • Was part of the creation process in the beginning.
  • Came upon Mary as she conceived and gave birth to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Came upon Jesus at His baptism.
  • Came upon the early Christians at Pentecost.
  • Will be poured out on all mankind in the last days.

The Last Generation

  • Will know their heritage and their inheritance and will go throughout the world and proclaim the message of the return of Jesus and the coming judgment that will hit the whole world.

Let us

  • Look at our inheritance today and apply it to our situation right now and see the great future we have as the people of God.

The death and resurrection of Jesus has provided for the church all the blessings in heaven.

We can tap into our inheritance because of our heritage!
