Traits of Godly Fathers

  1. Christ like character.
  2. Christ life prayer life.

What Is Character?

1 the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.

• the distinctive nature of something : • the quality of being individual, typically in an interesting or unusual way • strength and originality in a person's nature : she had character as well as beauty.• a person's good reputation : to what do I owe this attack on my character?•

Character Is:

  • What I do when no one is looking.
  • What I do when the boss is not around.
  • What is inside of a person.
  • Integrity.
  • Honesty.
  • Justice.
  • Righteousness.

Examples of Character

Joseph

  • When no one was looking he stayed true to his convictions.
  • Did not compromise but did the right thing for the right reasons.

Daniel

  • Even though he was in a pagan culture he always stayed true to his convictions.

Christ Like Prayer

Fathers who raise Godly children pray for them constantly.

Example of Job. Job prayed and sacrificed for His children.

satan knows

How powerful a praying man is and knows that he can not destroy a praying dad nor His children.

What PRAYER Does

  • It is a weapon that our adversary knows he has no power to stop.
  • It is shield for our families, especially our children.
  • Is like an umbrella that protects our family from the attacks of the evil one and from the influence of the world.

Faith

  • Is what God used to create the universe.
  • Is the power behind a powerful prayer life.
  • Is what every father needs when we pray for our families.
  • Is a shield against the attacks of fear when we pray for our families.

Jesus & The Father

Jesus talks about the Father:

  • Matthew 5:43-45
  • Matthew 5:46-48
  • Matthew 6:5-13
  • Matthew 7:9-11

The Relationship Jesus Had With His Father:

John 5:19-29

  • Jesus only did what He saw the Father do.
  • Jesus has a love for His Father in Heaven.
  • If we honor Jesus we honor The Father.
