The Royal Family - The Day of God’s Light (notes)

The Royal Family - The Day of God’s Light

We Are Living

  • The most strategic time in the history of the church.
  • Let’s not miss all that God wants us to experience at this time.

Light

  • Is Powerful, light keeps life going.
  • Surrounds God.
  • Is what God is covered with.

Ezekiel 1:22-24

  • Explains a powerful vision of some creatures
  • Over the heads of the living creatures was something like a dome, shimmering like a sky full of cut glass, vaulted over their heads. Under the dome one set of wings was extended toward the others, with another set of wings covering their bodies. When they moved I heard their wings--it was like a roar of a great waterfall, like the voice of The Strong God, like the noise of a battlefield. When they stopped, they folded their wings.

Ezekiel 1:25-28

And then, as they stood with folded wings, there was a voice from above the dome over their heads. Above the dome there was something that looked like a throne, sky-blue like a sapphire, with a humanlike figure towering above the throne. From what I could see, from the waist up He looked like burnished bronze and from the waist down like a blazing fire. Brightness everywhere! The way a rainbow springs out of the sky on a rainy day that's what it was like. It turned out to be the Glory of God! When I saw all this, I fell to my knees, my face to the ground. Then I heard a voice.

The Lord

  • Has so much He desires to reveal to us today but we have to be looking, searching, seeking, and meditating on the Word of God.
  • Revelation comes to those who are thirsty for God. When I am thirsty for God I will be given an open door in the heavens and see amazing things.
  • Ezekiel saw this creature and a throne on top of it and God was covered with fire.
  • God desires to cover us with the light of Heaven everyday as we walk with Him.

The Lord Will

  • Burn off all the impurities of the planet some day. 2 Peter 3:10-12 (The Message)
  • But when the Day of God's Judgment does come, it will be unannounced, like a thief. The sky will collapse with a thunderous bang, everything disintegrating in a huge conflagration, earth and all its works exposed to the scrutiny of Judgment.

2 Peter 3:11-13

Since everything here today might well be gone tomorrow, do you see how essential it is to live a holy life? Daily expect the Day of God, eager for its arrival. The galaxies will burn up and the elements melt down that day but we'll hardly notice. We'll be looking the other way, ready for the promised new heavens and the promised new earth, all landscaped with righteousness.

Principles

  • When man was created, he was created in God’s likeness and clothed in the Glory of Heaven.
  • When man fell he realized his clothing was gone and his nakedness exposed.
  • When Moses saw the burning bush and heard the voice of God the glory of God was there.
  • Israel saw the glory of God when the glory of God stood between them and the Egyptian army.
  • Moses saw the glory on mount Sinai.

Exodus 40:34-38

34-35 The Cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the Glory of God filled The Dwelling. Moses couldn't enter the Tent of Meeting because the Cloud was upon it, and the Glory of God filled The Dwelling. 36-38 Whenever the Cloud lifted from The Dwelling, the People of Israel set out on their travels, but if the Cloud did not lift, they wouldn't set out until it did lift. The Cloud of God was over The Dwelling during the day and the fire was in it at night, visible to all the Israelites in all their travels.

On The Day of Pentecost

  • God restored His glory to people individually. Acts 2:2-4
  • The Glory of God fell upon the believers who were in the upon room in Jerusalem. The miracles, the harvest, cities being turned upside down and the church spreading all over the empire tells us the purpose of the outpouring of God’s glory.
  • What do we expect today? Nothing less than what other generations have experienced. God is pouring out His glory upon the world today.

How Do We Tap Into The Glory of God?

  1. Faith in what God says in His Word.
  2. Speaking that Word with confidence.
  3. Bold confidence in what we speak when we know God has given us that word to tap into His power.
