Revival - Signs of Revival (notes)

Revival - Signs of Revival

Principles
(Acts 3:19-21)

  1. Repent (change your mind & purpose).
  2. Your sins may be erased.
  3. Times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
  4. He may send the Christ (anointing).
  5. Whom Heaven must retain until the time for the complete restoration of all that God spoke by His prophet.

Revival Will Come In Concert With A Massive Move Of:

  1. Repentance (a new mind set).
  2. Turning to God that your sins may be erased.

Times of Refreshing

  • Of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air.
  • Are needed in the church when we become parched and on life support.
  • Happen in every move of God, in every revival.

Principles

  • In every move of God the anointing (the Christ) of Jesus comes upon the people of God so we can do the work that needs to be done in that period.
  • In the last move of God everything will be restored to the church so the church can get the job done before the return of the Lord.
  • Heaven is retaining Jesus until that period of restoration of the people of God to a glorious church without spot or wrinkle.
  • We need to learn from the mistakes of the church in past revivals.
  • We need to allow past moves of God to die so the new move of God can happen.
  • This new move will be accompanied with great signs and wonders and the greatest harvest in church history.
  • The Glory of God will be manifested in this revival like we have never seen.

Time Of Visitation

  • Luke 19:44 “And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because you did not know the time of thy visitation.”
  • In the Old Testament visitation meant judgment.
  • When Jesus came, Israel was judged because they did not accept God’s gift of mercy in Jesus.
  • Let’s not miss this time of visitation.

Signs of Revival:

  1. A need for repentance.
  2. Times of refreshing.
  3. An increase in prayer.
  4. A multiplication of signs and wonders and miracles.
  5. A great in gathering of people.
  6. A passion for the presence of God.
  7. A greater revelation of God given to the church.
  8. An intensification of divine visions and dreams.
  9. Divine increase in finances in the church.
  10. Anointed worship that will touch the heart of God and impact the world.

Visitations

  • Are not always understood by the church and thus many times missed.
  • Are messy because the church is messed up and God has to come and clean house.
  • Is when God comes and sets things in divine order in His church so the glory can be manifested on the earth.
  • Are threatening because people are not accustomed to change. We like things to be predictable. We get into ruts and we need God to get us out.
  • Show us how big God is; so God will take us through the Word and reveal Himself to us in many wonderful ways.
  • Are demonstrations of God’s love and so we get a whole new picture of God. We see how much He loves people and how miracles are demonstrations of His love.

What We Need To Look At In This Revival?

  1. Our relationship with Jesus. 1 Jn. 2:3-6
  2. Our relationship with each other. I Jn. 2:9-11
  3. Our relationship with the World. 1 Jn. 2:15-17

The World Includes:

  1. The cravings of sinful man (craving for sensual gratification).
  2. The lust of the eyes (greedy longings of the mind).
  3. The boasting of what he has & does (Assurance in one’s own resources or stability of earthly things).

Example of Moses:

  • Moses could have stayed in Pharaoh’s home but he went after God. He wasn’t sure of his destiny but by obedience he saw the glory of God and fulfilled God’s purpose for his life.
  • We can move into our destiny through obedience to the voice of God. Faith comes by hearing God every day.
  • Revival is around us, all over the world God is moving.
