The Royal Family - The Royal Wedding (notes)

The Royal Family - The Royal Wedding

The Great Banquet

  • Is mentioned in Matthew 22 by Jesus.
  • The King is God, the son is Jesus.
  • His servants are the prophets of the Jews.
  • The invited guests are the nation of Israel.
  • Everyone in the streets are Gentiles.
  • The person without wedding garments is the person who was not covered by the blood of Jesus.

Jesus

  • Mentions wedding feasts because of the marriage supper of the Lamb.
  • This will take place while the tribulation is taking place on the earth.
  • It will be a seven year feast of celebration for the people of God with Jesus.

While the tribulation is taking place on earth the church will be in the presence of God.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

This is when Jesus rewards believers for how they lived their lives on earth and how we shined the light of the Good News to the world.

I Corinthians 3:8

Principles

  • Paul talks about being God’s building. We are cultural architects. The church is the institution that should design the culture not the world.
  • Some water, some plant but God gives the increase.
  • Paul mentions a great intellectual from the great city of Alexandria, Apollos, a great debater of the faith.

We Will Be Rewarded

  • According to our labor. How we work, our motives for doing God’s work and the love we demonstrated while on the planet.
  • Not so much according to our abilities but how we used our gifts.
  • By Jesus when we stand before Him at the judgment seat of Christ.
  • By the love we demonstrated to people and for God.

The Royal Family - Overpower Evil (notes)

The Royal Family - Overpower Evil

I Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Jesus

  • Came to establish The Kingdom of God and He left a group of people who would keep The Kingdom going until His return.
  • Came to destroy the works of the devil not only by His personal ministry but by the ministry of the church--the royal priesthood, dedicated nation, God redeemed.

John 10:9-11 (AMP)

9 I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture. 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). 11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [Own] life for the sheep.

Jesus Came To establish His Kingdom and left a group of people who would know that they are part of that Kingdom. Good always overpowers evil, evil will not prevail, evil will not triumph over good but good will overcome evil.

Satan Comes

  • To rule in the spiritual realm that controls the physical realm.
  • To destroy people. Last week we saw how He came through a young man filled with darkness to try to kill one of our leaders. He took the lives of 6 people and wounded many more. The eyes of the nation and the world were upon this community all last week and the conversation will continue about this vicious attack.

The Kingdom of God

  • In the New Testament is a recurring theme.
  • Is ever advancing and the violent take it by force.
  • Is greater than the kingdom of darkness.
  • Is for all those who are hungry for God.
  • Is for those who are willing to take a stand against the forces who are destroying people.

A Great Outpouring of God’s love and power is coming to our land, to America and to Tucson. Just as the media was here all last week interviewing people a time is coming when they will come again but not because of a horrible event but because of this outpouring of God’s love and power. Great miracles and the greatest harvest Tucson has ever seen will get the attention of the nation. Even other nations will hear of this.

Verses On The Kingdom

Luke 1:33 And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.

  • The Kingdom of God is eternal.

Luke 4:43 And He said unto them, I must preach the Kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

  • The message of the Kingdom was the passion of Jesus Christ.

Luke 8:1 And it came to pass afterward, that He went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God: and the twelve were with Him

Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew it, followed Him: and He received them, and spake unto them of the Kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

Luke 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God.

  • Preaching the message of the Kingdom was serious with Jesus.

Luke 10:9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The Kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

Healing is a sign that The Kingdom of God was or is present.

Luke 11:2 And He said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in Heaven, so in earth.

  • When we pray we are to ask The Kingdom of God to come, visit this planet, come into my life, into my home, my body, heaven invade this church, invaded this city, this nation. Push back evil.

Luke 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

  • Driving out demons is a sign that the kingdom of God is come upon us.

Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  • Seeking the kingdom as a priority brings God into our daily needs and He will meet our physical needs.

We Are Going To See

  • An invasion of The Kingdom of God in this area.
  • Last week we see Auburn win the national championship in Arizona. The couch Gene Chizik said after the game, “God was with us”.
  • In Mobile Alabama there is another outpouring going on right now and that Pastor said that Tucson was going to see a great outpouring.

Verses On The Kingdom

Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a Kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto Me.

  • Jesus appointed His Kingdom to His followers (us).

Acts 1:3 To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to The Kingdom of God.

What Jesus Did:

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

The Holy Spirit

  • Came upon Jesus when He was baptized and anointed Him with supernatural power to do good and to heal all who were oppressed by the devil.
  • Sickness is oppression.
  • Poverty is oppression.
  • Tyranny is oppression.

The Royal Family - A Royal Priesthood (notes)

The Royal Family - A Royal Priesthood

I Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation; [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Jesus came to establish the Kingdom of God and He left a group of people who would keep the Kingdom going until His return.

According to Peter we are:

  1. A chosen generation.
  2. A Royal Priesthood.
  3. A holy nation.
  4. A peculiar people.

What A Priest Does:

  • Presents people to God through intercession.
  • Presents God to people through speaking God’s Word.

What A King Does

  • Rules over a kingdom.
  • Rules by decrees.
  • Sets a good example for the people.
  • Serves the people under them.

We Have A Dual Role

To rule in the spiritual realm that controls the physical realm.

To exercise our role as representatives of the Kingdom of Heaven on the earth as priests-presenting people to God and God to people.

The Kingdom of God

In the New Testament is a recurring theme.

In the early church was a common message by the leaders of the church.

And the church are closely related, the church is not the Kingdom of God but it is an extension of Kingdom of God.

Was the central message of John the Baptist and of Jesus Christ and Paul the Apostle.

Verses On The Kingdom

Luke 1:33 And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end. (KJV)

  • The Kingdom of God is eternal.

Luke 4:43 And He said unto them, I must preach the Kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent. (KJV)

  • The message of the Kingdom was the passion of Jesus Christ.

Luke 8:1 And it came to pass afterward, that He went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the Kingdom of God: and the twelve were with Him. (KJV)

  • The message of the Kingdom is words, actions, signs and wonders.

Luke 9:2 And He sent them to preach the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. (KJV)

  • The message of the Kingdom was accompanied with healing.

Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew it, followed Him: and He received them, and spake unto them of the Kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. (KJV)

  • The priority of Jesus was to talk about the Kingdom and followed up with healing sicknesses.

Luke 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God. (KJV)

  • Preaching the message of the Kingdom was serious with Jesus.

Luke 10:9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The Kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. (KJV)

  • Healing is a sign that the Kingdom of God was or is present.

Luke 11:2 And He said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in Heaven, so in earth. (KJV)

  • When we pray we are to ask the Kingdom of God to come, visit this planet, come into my life, into my home, my body, Heaven invade this church, invade this city, this nation. Push back evil.

Luke 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the Kingdom of God is come upon you. (KJV)

  • Driving out demons is a sign that the Kingdom of God is come upon us.

Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the Kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)

  • Seeking the Kingdom as a priority brings God into our daily needs and He will meet our physical needs.

Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (KJV)

  • God desires with pleasure to give us the Kingdom. We are part of The Royal Family.

Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto Him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the Kingdom of God. (KJV)

  • To embrace the Kingdom of God we must be pure as little children. Just take a child and see how pure their faith, their humility, their love, etc.

Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a Kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me. (KJV)

  • Jesus appointed His Kingdom to His followers (us).

Acts 1:3 To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. (KJV)

  • After Jesus rose from the dead, He taught His followers issues that had to do with the Kingdom of God.

Acts 19:8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the Kingdom of God.

  • Paul’s message was the Kingdom of God.
  • He even disputed with the Jews for three months about the Kingdom.
  • Paul leads many into the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
  • He probably taught them about the Kingdom for the Jews to see the results in Paul’s ministry.
  • Paul laid hands on the people that heard him and the Holy Spirit fell on them and they spoke in tongues and even prophesied.

The Message of the early church was the Kingdom of God. Our message must also be the Kingdom of God. Jesus came to establish the Kingdom and that the church continue not only the message but applying the power of the Kingdom by preaching the Gospel and healing the sick and casting out demons.

The Helper - Values & Mandates (notes)

The Helper - Values & Mandates

Joel 2:28-29

And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. 29 Even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

Son Life’s Vision is to reach the lost hurting people in this areas with the Good News of Jesus and to see them grow into strong followers of the Lord and His Word.

As We Prepare to enter a new season as a church let’s prepare ourselves for a great outpouring of the Spirit followed by supernatural visions and dreams. Prophecy will be very accurate and very powerful in our lives as God begins to reveal what He will do in our future.

Proverbs 29:18 (Amplified Bible)

Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.

I Believe

There is a difference between visions and dreams.

With vision I can see where I am going while with a dream I know where I am going.

Principle

What makes a vision possible is values and mandates.

Values

A person’s principles or standards of behavior, one’s judgment of what is important in life.

Our Values:

  • God’s presence
  • God’s Word
  • Each other
  • Family
  • Life
  • Fellowship
  • Hurting people
  • Worship
  • Spiritual gifts
  • Lost people

Mandate

  • An official order or commission to do something. To be an international body of believers.
  • Jesus said all authority has been given unto me in heaven and earth go and make disciples of all nations.
  • Jesus gave the church authority to reach nations. This is our mandate. There are many nations in Tucson and we can reach them. Mat. 28:18

Our Mandate

Is that when God outpours His Spirit we will be on the cutting edge of that awakening.

We Have Been given authority to act in a certain way.

How do we behave?

Like Jesus. We do the things Jesus did because that is the mandate of Jesus. Go and preach, confirm the message with signs following.
