A New Reality - Seeing As God Sees (notes)

A New Reality - Seeing As God Sees

Jesus Said The Kingdom of God is here now!

We must change our way of thinking if we are going to embrace the Kingdom, if we are going to see as God sees.

Palm Sunday

  • Was not just any other day. It had great significance for Israel, for the world and for us today.
  • The King of Glory was revealed by the Holy Spirit to the people living at the time in that place.
  • Jesus was called the prophet. This is still one of His titles today.

There Were Many

  • Prophecies fulfilled in the life of Jesus Christ.
  • This one is very powerful. “Behold your King is coming to you, Gentle, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.
  • After He sat on the donkey, the people spread garments on the road and some cut palm branches and spread them on the road. This was a sign of great honor given to a king.
  • They cried out, “Hosanna to the son of David; (heir to the throne in Israel) Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”

Many could not see who this was. Their King, our King, the King of Glory was there that day and many could not see who He was for they did not see as God sees.

To see the Kingdom of God we must have the spirit of wisdom and revelation. (Eph. 1:17)

Jesus Enters

· The city then enters the temple, (the center of worship to the Jews) and cast out those who were buying and selling in the temple. He overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who were selling doves.

· He declares, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers den.

When Jesus Came

  • The King came and His Dominion came with Him. The Kingdom of God.
  • Whenever a king would come enter a community, the dominion (kingdom) came with him.
  • The blind and lame came to Him in the temple He healed them because the Kingdom of God had entered the temple.

The Temple

· Was the center of life to the nation and when Jesus performed these miracles there He was making a prophetic declaration to everyone that when the Kingdom comes miracles will be common.

· The Kingdom has been here since Jesus came the first time and will continue to be here until He returns.

When Jesus Was Born

· The wise men came and asked, ‘where is the king for we saw his star in the east.’

· John’s message was “repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 3:2

· The Kingdom of Heaven invaded earth.

In Ancient Times

· When the king was going to visit a place, they would send a messenger who would announce the coming of the king.

· This was the role of John the baptizer.

· Jesus is here; let's announce it to the world.

· His Kingdom has been here since He came.

Repent Means

· To change our mind, to have a new outlook, a new mind set.
When the Kingdom comes, God will give His people a new way at looking at things.

· This is happening right now in the world. Jesus is getting ready to return to earth and need to change our way of thinking.

· We must have a new reality.

Principle

In Matthew 13 Jesus talked about the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven.

In every generation, people loose the insights of the Kingdom and God has to restore them.

The New Reality:

· The Kingdom is here and we must change our minds to embrace it. Things are not as we see them. The invisible Kingdom is here and we must embrace it. Let’s see things as God does. The Kingdom or new reality is here now. Sickness and disease will no longer be able to stand in our way because of this new reality. The enemy must move out.

· Nothing can stop this Kingdom from advancing in the earth today. There is also supernatural provision for us. There is healing for any and all types of diseases. There is deliverance for those oppressed by the Devil and those possessed by demons.

This revelation is being unveiled to us and we are taking the Kingdom by force.

Repentance Means: to change our way of thinking. The word says; repent from dead works… faith towards God. Faith is both the crown and enabler of repentance.

To Fear God Means:

· I believe what He says.

· I trust Him.

· Faith is the mirror of the heart that reflects the realities of the unseen world-the actual substance of His Kingdom.

It Is a Violent Theme

To bring the Kingdom of heaven into this realm. There will be opposition to this Message even from some in the church but we must press on, it is worth it.

The physical world is under the dominion of this new Kingdom reality. The physical world is under the authority of this new Reality.

For too long the church has had it backwards. We believe that this is all there is when there is so much more.

There Is Another Reality

The spiritual world (God’s Kingdom) controls the physical world.

The Kingdom of God is here, God is here and we need to bring that Reality into our existence. When we do, the blind will see, the lame will walk, the demons will be driven out of people and the dead raised.

All This Started when Jesus came and will not stop because some will not believe it. We must believe it, we must embrace this new Reality and see what God wants us to see and do what He says we can do in the name of the King.

Matthew 21:15-22

This account finishes with Jesus talking about the power of faith when we pray. Prayer is not wishful thinking or empty hope, it is faith in the new Reality that the Kingdom of Heaven is here and we can tap into it, see miracles in Jesus’ name and the greatest harvest we have ever seen in the history of the church.

Proverbs 14 - The Fear of The Lord (notes)

Proverbs 14 - The Fear of The Lord

Jesus Said:

  • Women have a big role to play in the home.
  • A wise woman builds her house.
  • The foolish woman tears down her house.

When A Person:

  • Fears the Lord there are many benefits that accompany that type of attitude.
  • Speaks foolishly, calamity is waiting for them.
  • Speaks with wisdom, that wisdom will be like a shield to them.

In Every Move of God

  • Things get messy.
  • But this is what demonstrates harvest. No work, no harvest, no harvest no mess. Churches get dirty when there are many people and church sometimes gets messy when the harvest comes in. I prefer cleaning up messes because the harvest is coming in that tidiness without a move of God.

Proverbs 14:4

We Release what we are most aware of. It should be from glory to glory, from strength to strength. The glory of God came upon the early believers on Pentecost and they went out and told people who Jesus was. Signs and wonders accompanied their message and they will accompany our message also.

Proverbs 14:5

Our words are very important to God. When we speak positive, faith filled, encouraging, kind and loving words to others God will grant us favor even with our enemies. People will bless us when we speak with grace. Our mouths can literally be a fountain of life to others.

Two Types of People:

  1. Mockers: Will never find wisdom.
  2. Discerning: Knowledge comes easily to.

Proverbs 14:6

Who To Stay Away From:

  • Foolish men for they never speak words of wisdom.

Proverbs 14:7

  • Don’t hang out with fools.

The Wisdom of:

  • The discerning keeps life on track.
  • The foolishness of fools lands them in a ditch.

Proverbs 14:8

Principles

  • There is nothing quite as powerful as a life of favor. Joseph is a prime example of this principle. He found favor in good times and in bad, in times of adversity and in times of prosperity. When he was in a good place and when in a bad one.
  • Favor brought exaltation to Joseph.
  • A moral life is a favored Life.

Proverbs 14:9

When Hard Times

Hit people, this is when they need our friendship not our criticism. Like Job. When he went through hard times, that is when he needed true friendship. So when they are blessed we will enjoy their party.

Principle

There is nothing more devastating than a careless life while on the other hand there is nothing more pleasing to God than living a holy life.

Proverbs 14:11

Man Makes His Own Way to God (religion) but Jesus is the only true way to God all other ways lead to eternal death.

Proverbs 14:12

When People Don’t Have Real joy, they put up a fake front but inside they are hurting.

Proverbs 14:13

Repentance means to change our way of thinking. The word says; repent from dead works… faith towards God. Faith is both the crown and enabler of repentance.

To Fear God Means:

I believe what He says.

I trust Him.

Faith is the mirror of the heart that reflects the realities of the unseen world-the actual substance of His Kingdom.

Proverbs 14:14

Don’t Believe Everything You Hear

If I am prudent (discern between what is right or wrong) I will not be gullible but will judge things with the Word of God.

Proverbs 14:15

Fearing God will keep me away from sin while a person who does not fear God does not have self control.

Proverbs 13 - A Fountain of Living Water (notes)

Proverbs 13 - A Fountain of Living Water

Jesus Said Whoever believes in Me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this He meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive.

John 7:37-39

When A Person

· Is filled with the Holy Spirit their lives become like a fountain of living water.

· Is filled with the Holy Spirit miracles become the norm in that person’s life.

· Is filled with the Spirit, reproduction happens naturally.

Jesus Talked About

· The coming of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. John said one is coming after me who will baptize you in the Spirit and fire.

· Mark 1: 8 “I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

We Release what we are most aware of. It should be from glory to glory, from strength to strength. The glory of God came upon the early believers on Pentecost and they went out and told people who Jesus was. Signs and wonders accompanied their message and they will accompany our message also.

Proverbs 13

Our words are very important to God. When we speak positive, faith filled, encouraging, kind and loving words to others God will grant us favor even with our enemies. People will bless us when we speak with grace. Our mouths can literally be a fountain of life to others.

He Who Guards

· His lips guards his life but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

· How do we guard our lips? By being careful what we say, how we say it and who we say it to.

Laziness In Life

· Only leads to dead end dreams. You or I can dream all day but if we don’t get up and put action to our dreams we will never accomplish anything.

· Diligent people will see their dreams fulfilled.

Discernment

· Will be given to the righteous. They will know what is false, what is a lie and what is fake.

· Will not be given to the wicked, only shame and disgrace will be their lot.

Principles

· In our spiritual war against evil Paul talked about the breastplate of righteousness. Integrity is part of the armor against evil.

· When a man walks in integrity it is like breastplate that protects his spirit from the attacks of the enemy. Guard you spirit for out of it flows the issues of life (fountain of life).

· Life flows from the Spirit filled believer.

It is Not How We appear that shows our true wealth but what is inside of us. A person can have financial wealth but be spiritually poor and on the other hand a man can appear to be poor but be extremely wealthy in knowledge, wisdom and insight that is worth more than financial wealth.

Principle

The light of the righteous shines brightly. Righteous brings glory and when we are in the glory, lives are changed, captives are freed, the poor are helped and miracles happen.

In Every Move of God Those in that move must walk in humility and guard themselves from spiritual pride and self righteousness.

Dishonest Money dwindles away. The way we grow rich in the Kingdom of God is little by little. Jesus called this the true riches of the Kingdom.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick. We must be sick for God’s presence, for His glory.

Repentance means to change our way of thinking. The word says; repent from dead works… faith towards God. Faith is both the crown and enabler of repentance.

The Teaching of The Wise is a fountain of life. There is death all around as a result of sin, but when the wise are given revelation and they give it to the people of God.

It becomes a fountain of life.

Proverbs 9 - Pillars of Wisdom (notes)

Proverbs 9 - Pillars of Wisdom

Principles

  1. Every building needs blue prints.
  2. Every building needs a design.
  3. Every building needs a foundation.
  4. Every building needs building materials.
  5. Every building needs workers.

Wisdom Is Like A House

  • A house has pillars: Pillars were part of the structural integrity of the structure.
  • A house has a design according to those who will live in it.
  • A house is decorated according to the taste of the homeowner.

Wisdom Keys

  • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
  • If we lack judgment, go to wisdom for advice.
  • Wisdom starts with discipline.
  • Wisdom starts at home.
  • Do not correct a mocker.
  • Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still.
  • Wisdom gives rewards.

If We Fear God

  • We will hate evil, arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. There is a move of God where people are hungry for God. The people of God really want to know God. The fear of the Lord is the starting point.
  • We will worship God in spirit and truth. Worship starts with the fear (reverence) of the Lord.

Everyone Can Have Knowledge

  • But wisdom will only be given to the diligent.
  • God will fill us with wisdom if we hunger and thirst for it.
  • The spirit of wisdom and revelation is for those who have a heart for it.
  • If we seek we find, if we knock the door will open, if we ask it will be given to us.

Jesus (& Wisdom)

  • Works for those who work for it.
  • James tells us to considerate it pure joy when you face trials. The test of our faith develops endurance. As endurance does it job we mature and come into full stature.
  • If we lack wisdom, ask for it. God will give it to us. Just ask in faith!

Do You? Lack wisdom when you face difficulty in dealing with the issues of life, God has wisdom for you. God is a good God and does not rejoice when we struggle in life but wants us to rejoice because we see the end result. When our faith is attacked with fears God says rejoice. When a child of God asks God for something, it pleases Him but when we ask for wisdom like Solomon did, it grips God’s heart.

When God Gives Wisdom

  • We will know how to handle resources.
  • We will know how to administrate.
  • We will handle people with grace.
  • We will use our gifts & talents.

Jesus

  • Rejoices in God’s creation-the world and mankind.
  • Says to listen to Him, to His instruction and be wise.
  • Says, “Blessed is the man who listens to me, who watch daily at the door of heaven, waiting at His door way.”

We Will Become aware that the wisdom is from the Lord not from our selves or human education or natural understanding--it is supernatural wisdom.

Proverbs 9:11

  • For through me your days will be many and years will be added to your life. If you are wise you are wise your wisdom will reward you. Whey do some people die before their time? Lack of wisdom.
  • If you are a mocker you alone will suffer. Folly is loud, undisciplined and without knowledge. Folly calls out from a foolish house.

Wisdom Is Like

  • A wise woman living in a beautiful house.
  • While foolishness is like a foolish woman living in the ghetto.

There Are Two Types Of Wisdom (Two Systems):

  1. The world’s: bitter envy, selfish ambition and unspiritual--motivated by Satan.
  2. The Kingdom of God’s: Leads to a good life, does good deeds in humility, pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
